Acceptance
SCREIA is operated by SoCalREIA LLC. By using screia.com, attending a SCREIA chapter event, or buying a SCREIA membership, you agree to these terms.
Educational only
All content on the site, in chapter meetings, and in member materials is educational and informational only. It is not legal, tax, financial, or investment advice. Real estate investing carries risk, including the risk of loss of principal. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions and should consult qualified professionals before acting on anything you read or hear at a chapter event.
Membership
A SCREIA membership costs $199 per year. When you join, you are charged $199, and your membership then renews automatically: you are charged $199 each year on the date you joined until you cancel. You agree to this automatic renewal at checkout.
You can cancel anytime online at Manage membership. Cancellation stops future renewals; your membership benefits continue through the end of the year you have already paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe, which emails a receipt for every charge.
Membership dues are non-refundable. If you cancel, your membership stays active through the end of the year you've already paid for.
Benefits marked “coming soon” on the membership page are not yet available; they are included in your membership when they launch.
Sponsors
SCREIA is an educational organization, not a referral service, and does not recommend specific vendors. Sponsor relationships are disclosed where they exist. SCREIA is not responsible for the products or services of any sponsor, and a sponsorship is not an endorsement of a sponsor's legal, tax, or fiduciary fitness. Members engage any provider at their own discretion.
Member-shared content and deal discussions
SCREIA is an educational chapter, not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Member deal discussions are educational only; SCREIA does not vet, endorse, or guarantee any private offering. Many private real-estate investments are securities — consult qualified counsel before committing capital.
Member-shared content. This post was prepared and presented by a SCREIA member, not by the chapter. The member is responsible for the accuracy of any numbers, market claims, projected returns, and strategy descriptions. SCREIA does not perform due diligence on member-shared deals, does not verify the member's track record or licensing status, and does not endorse the strategy, the operator, or any specific investment. If you are considering acting on a member-shared opportunity, perform your own diligence and consult qualified counsel; many private real-estate investments are securities and may be offered only under specific exemptions to qualified investors.
Conduct at events
Chapter events are professional networking and education forums. We expect members and guests to treat each other with respect. We reserve the right to remove anyone whose behavior is disruptive, harassing, or otherwise harmful to the chapter.
Solicitation of members for unrelated investment offerings, MLM schemes, or coaching and course sales at chapter events is prohibited.
Intellectual property
Site content (writing, design, code, and any downloadable materials) is owned by SCREIA or its contributors and is provided for personal, non-commercial use by members and visitors. Reproducing or redistributing site content for commercial purposes requires written permission.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCREIA, its officers, members, and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or attendance at a chapter event.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is the one posted on this page.
