Call for Speakers
Want to present at a SCREIA meeting?
Every SCREIA chapter meeting features a real Southern California deal walkthrough and a practitioner expert topic. If you’re a working operator or a SoCal real estate pro with something worth teaching, we’d like to hear your pitch. We’re selective — our members’ time is the whole point — so tell us what you’d cover and why it matters.
What we’re looking for
A real SoCal deal or playbook
Walk the room through something you actually did — comps, financing structure, the exit. Inland Empire BRRRR, an OC flip, a Long Beach value-add, a note you bought. Real numbers beat theory.
A practitioner topic
A 1031 CPA, real estate attorney, hard-money lender, GC, or property manager breaking down something California investors get wrong — Prop 13, AB-1482, FTB clawback rules, Title 24, RSO.
Education first, not a pitch
Our members come to learn. The best presenters teach generously and let their expertise do the selling. Quality education without the hard sell is the whole bar.
The ground rules
- No selling from the stage. Teach the room — sponsorship is the path for promoting an offer, and it’s always disclosed.
- Bring something specific to Southern California. National, generic content doesn’t fit our format.
- Plan for roughly 20–30 minutes plus Q&A. We’ll confirm timing when we slot you in.
- Slides are welcome but optional. A clear story and honest numbers matter more than a deck.
Pitch your topic
Fill out the form and a board member will follow up. The more specific you are about the topic and what attendees will walk away with, the easier it is for us to slot you in.
Looking to promote a product or service rather than teach? That’s what sponsorship is for — see sponsorship options. Sponsor relationships are always disclosed.
